Orange Cranberry Bread

Orange Cranberry Bread | Bites With The Wongs

A Seasonal Classic

The winter season does’t feel like the winter season until a loaf of this bread is on my kitchen table. I try and bake a bread once every other week to have on hand for quick snacks or breakfast. Pumpkin bread in the fall, banana year round, and this orange cranberry bread every winter.

It’s the best because there are always lots of fresh cranberries for the Holiday season at the store. You just need to wash and dry before use! If you can’t find any you can always substitute with can.

The best orange for this recipe is a navel orange. They always give SO much sweet juice. If you are like me and do not have a juicer, just cut the orange in 1/2, grab a fork and twist! Do it over a bowl and watch the juice come pouring out. If you do not have a fresh orange on hand, you can substitute for orange juice .

When mixing the zest and sugar, a fork and squish method is the best! You want to blend it together in a way that basically turns the sugar into orange flavored sugar. If using OJ, just use 1/2 tsp!

If you want to be real fancy you can top the frosting with some more fresh zest!

Enjoy !
